Better than ever!
Therap to show new release at ANCOR Conference
Therap Services is introducing a major upgrade to its series of online applications for providers of supports to people with developmental disabilities.
This new release (5.0) includes several new applications. It also contains upgraded and enhanced versions of the existing Therap applications. The new applications are:
FirstPage: As soon as you log onto Therap you will see that the menus have gone and been replaced by your own FirstPage. This page brings together all of the Therap applications that you have access to and lets you know what information is waiting for you or requires your review and how important it is. All your information is now just a click away.
Individual Data Forms: Track all the basic information about the people you support including ICD9 and DSM IV codes, medical and other contact information. This form will automatically generate an Emergency Data Form containing only the essential information required in an emergency situation.
Health Tracking: You can track and follow up on medical and therapeutic appointments (Doctors’ names, addresses, phone and fax numbers are centrally stored and available) using this Therap application. This also gives you options to record and report on medical information such as vital signs, weight, menses, wound care, breathing treatments and seizures.
Individual Service Plan: This exciting new module allows you to define and track goals, guidelines, and services. Using this application, you can easily define teaching steps and scoring methods. Data is collected simply as the goal is implemented and then reports can be produced comparing progress to baseline and previous periods.
Cross Organization Information Sharing (COIS): If you and other organizations are supporting the same people you can use COIS to share relevant information in a secured and well defined manner. The application lets you define what information you would like to share and helps you avoid "dropping the ball" during the process. At the same time, it allows you to retain the control over your information that you are used to having with Therap.
T-Log: A universal log to be used for daily, residential, medical, family, and other communication and documentation. This incredibly powerful and flexible application will adapt to your daily and ongoing documentation needs.
Look out for new on-line training sessions on these applications or be amongst the first to try them out at the ANCOR Conference in Phoenix, AZ in March.
Justin Brockie: the voice of Therap Training and Support

Justin and the Pacific
while visiting providers in Oregon
If you have attended one of Therap’s online Training sessions or called our office recently, then you’ve probably spoken to Justin. Aside from his distinctive accent (gleaned from spending the first 28 years of his life in Edinburgh, Scotland where he trained as a nurse), Justin also has a unique perspective on Therap Services as an early user before coming on board as Director of Customer Support. Justin worked for a provider in Connecticut supervising a range of residential supports and acting as Therap Data Administrator.
Since coming to Therap, Justin has started up Therap’s ongoing series of online training events. He is also managing the user guide documentation and providing one-on-one telephone support. “One of the things I enjoy most about this job is the chance to get to know new people all over the country. One minute I am helping a provider in Montana get set up on the system, five minutes later I am doing training for someone in Florida!” On a recent trip to Oregon to meet with providers there, Justin got to see the Pacific for the first time. If you’re coming to the ANCOR conference, be sure to stop by our booth and talk to Justin or attend one of his training sessions.

Therap to sponsor the Alliance for Full Participation
Therap Services is delighted to announce the continuation of its exclusive platinum sponsorship of ANCOR. Therap is also sponsoring The Alliance for Full Participation and its conference in September 2005. “Working with ANCOR has given us access to people interested in being industry leaders and setting best practice – that’s exactly where Therap wants to be. We look forward to having a similar relationship with the Alliance,” said Justin Brockie, Therap’s Director of Customer Support.
