Therap Regional Conferences

Regional Conferences in 2008

Therap Regional Conference in South Dakota

Therap Regional Conference in Oregon

Therap Conference for Nurses and Clinicians
June 11-13, 2008, Southbury, Connecticut
Throughout the year, Therap arranges a number of conferences to interact with its users. These events offer professionals using Therap an opportunity to improve their skills as well as work with the Therap team in enhancing the system to better meet their needs.

National events, such as the Provider Administrator conference and the DSP conferences, have been very well received by our users. With professionals attending from all over the United States, these conferences provided a unique opportunity to learn and share experiences.

With an aim to achieve similar success at regional levels, Therap has decided to arrange a number of regional conferences in 2008. The first regional Therap conference is going to take place in Dover, Delaware, from April 28- 30. The conference is going to be co-hosted by the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS), State of Delaware. With over 150 participants already signed up, the event is expected to be a huge success. Similar events have also been scheduled for Therap users in the South Dakota and Oregon regions, and will take place in May, this year. They will be followed by the Conference for Nurses and Clinicians in June.

These conferences will be based around small group sessions focusing on sharing experiences and learning new skills from Therap staff members and other Therap users. These sessions will include all the major Therap applications as well as advanced sessions for more experienced users, covering topics such as implementation, caseloads, reporting among others. There will be additional sessions on general industry issues such as HIPAA, electronic signatures, accreditation, family coordination and more.

These conferences also give you an opportunity to brainstorm with Therap team members and other Therap users to further improve the system to better suit your needs.

The event is not going to be ‘all work and no play’; Therap’s newly developed Therap Training Games and exercises will be a primary item on the agenda. Previous conference attendees have found these training tools useful to take back to their agencies.

Additional information regarding these conferences including registration forms and preliminary conference schedules are available on Therap’s website (www.TherapServices.net). We strongly encourage all Therap users to attend. Please invite your friends and colleagues to contact us about attending. Also, feel free to visit our online Support Forum and leave us any comments or suggestions you may have regarding these events.

Upcoming Enhancements

Therap is planning to include a ‘Review’ section to its Health Tracking (HT) module. The basic idea is to have a common 'Review List' for all HT sections which would contain all Health Tracking forms that have been recently added or modified to avoid the need for searching. This feature will include easy options for sequential viewing of these forms by clicking on ‘Next’ and ‘Previous’ links (as in T-Logs).

We are also planning to add a state specific ISP (Individual Service Plan) form for providers in New York.

Please visit our Usability Garage to find out more about these enhancements. There are also ongoing discussions about these changes in the Customer Support Forum under the following topics:

We welcome you to register and post your comments and suggestions. We look forward to having you as a part of the team.

Application Focus

Training Management System

Therap’s Training Management System (TMS) is a system within the application that allows agencies to track their staff’s trainings and certifications. The module is a dynamic alternative to spreadsheets, ensuring the most recent training information is available for administrators, supervisors, and staff.

TMS provides online access to individual training histories as well as an agency-wide view of those who have expired, are about to expire and those who remain in compliance. The reports contain training information, broken out by both class and number of hours; training instructors’ certifications are also tracked in the same way as other training. Agencies can also import training histories using Microsoft Excel and construct the system to automatically notify them of user’s training results.

TMS will also accept training schedules and allows users to sign up for their needed classes online in real time.

  Therap Blogs
Therap publishes several blogs to increase communication with its users. You can learn about the latest developments and events taking place at Therap by reading these. They also offer information on different aspects of the Therap system, as well as troubleshooting and helpful tips to get the most out of our applications.

You will also read about the personal experiences of Therap team members as they visit various provider agencies and conferences across the country.

Therap blogs can be accessed from our website at www.TherapServices.net. Drop by anytime and leave us your comments.

Billing Notifications

The validity period is specified when new Service Authorizations are created. It can be difficult for users to keep track of expiry dates of their agency’s numerous Service Authorizations. Users also need a mechanism for monitoring the remaining amount of Service Authorizations for a particular service.

Therap provides an efficient mechanism for users with Service Authorization Approve and Update roles which lets them set up their billing notification profile to receive pager (text/numeric), email and Therap SComm (Secure Communications) messages when a Service Authorization is running low or is about to expire which will help in accounting and authorization errors.

These notification profiles and notification settings can be updated at any time.
